The band shell at New Rochelle’s historic Hudson Park will once again be filled with the “sound of music” as the New Rochelle Council on the Arts presents its annual summer concert series from June 26th through August 28th. The Emil Paolucci Summer Sounds Concert Series, created by the New Rochelle Council on the Arts, will begin its 12th season on June 26th, and NRCA’s Summer Sounds Concert committee will be auditioning bands in February.
The concerts are known for featuring an eclectic menu of musicians performing everything from mellow jazz to opera to salsa, Motown, bluegrass – every genre of music is welcome.
The Summer Sounds concert series is presented by the New Rochelle Council on the Arts, in partnership with the New Rochelle Dept. of Parks and Recreation. NRCA provides a state-of-the-art sound system as well as sound and lighting techs; in addition NRCA invites local food trucks to be on site each week. Musicians interested in being considered for the paid gig must apply by filling out a form at https://goo.gl/forms/jdrsilVMbdJLETW02.
All forms must be submitted by February 16, 2019 – NO LATE SUBMISSIONS will be accepted. The committee reviews all submissions and meets to select the bands in February. All bands are contacted in March. For more information visit the NRCA website at www.newrochellearts.org or contact Melissa Panszi Riebe at email@example.com.
